[pygtk] Rectangular Selection in gtk.TextView

That is my experience too; I was hoping that there might be a way to 
draw custom selections without implementing a whole new TextView (it 
would help if you could at least turn off the drawing of the selection; 
then you could maybe draw custom borders around selections).

If anyone has any thoughts on this, I would like to hear them. 
Otherwise, ... oh well ... even GTK isn't perfect ... :(
