here's one way to do it, under Python 2.5:

    import xml.etree.ElementTree as ET

    tree = ET.parse(filename)

    for elem in tree.findall(".//NodeArgs"):
        print elem.findtext("Disp")
        print elem.findtext("BtmPane/Path")
