Passing events

Dear Users,

Is it possible to pass events such as keyboard, mouse, and joystick events
to any software application and take screen shots? In this example I would
like to be able to control a car racing game using python script.

Is it difficult to recieve and create events from devices like the steering
wheels and pedals?
