Thanks for your reply Peter. Sorry if my technical wording of the problem is a bit lacking. I am still trying to put all parts of the puzzle together in terms of the programming environment. The checkboxes are in a PyMeld compatible HTML file. I'm using CherryPy 2.2. Leanne
