cannot install numarray

Hi,

I'm trying to install numarray 1.4.1 on Darwin. When I run "python
setup.pyinstall", everything seems to work until an error message
appears saying
that there is no gcc.

I installed gcc-4.0 from the X11 package that came with Mac OS-X.

*unable to execute gcc: No such file or directory
*>>* error: command 'gcc' failed with exit status 1
