Likely, the question was pertaining to ways by which the submission to
the mailing list could be filtered at the mailing list level (using
Spambayes, or any other mean).  The mailing list already uses filters, which
seem to not be effective for the quoted spam.

The question was likely not about how each and every of the list members
should filter the list contents on his/her own.
