I don't know of any reason why not. I haven't built for *64-bit* SPARC
yet but Python builds fine 32-bit on SPARC and build fine 64-bit on a
number of other platforms (linux-x86_64, linux-ia64, win64-ia64,
win64-x64, 64-bit AIX).
