Just to clarify: you need to delete ONLY the old pysh.py, not your entire
$HOME/.ipython/ directory.  

You can then update from the pysh.py which comes with the ipython distribution,
typically in 

sys.prefix/site-packages/IPython/UserConfig

Sorry about not putting this in the release notes, I didn't notice it myself.
