FLASH:state of play for Python applets?

For me coding is about sharing neat visuals with others. I enjoyed
doing this as a kid in BBC BASIC and little bit of 4Mhz blisteringly
fast assembler back in the early 80s.

Then seeing those incredible Amiga demos by the various crewes, circa
1985, knocked me flat, and I abruptly dropped my coding weapons (Amgia
Basic) - they were just too awesome and obviously effective
collaborations by the various 'crews'.

But those Amiga days have gone, and not the internet has opened up new
possibilities. At least here in Broadband Britain.

And as an adult I have my own graphical ideas to share which may not
be whizz-bang and all-that, but I still want to do them. And we have
got used to 3D animating spectacles, it is time for more in-depth
models to expound...

So, I bought a book on Flash!

But.

actionscript looks too much like javascript.

What is the state of play with python coolness plugins for firefox,
mozilla, safari?

I haven't been able to google much on 'python flash', 'openflash'
,'python actionscript', etc.

Your guidance is much appreciated.
