AFAIK, you have 2 mainstream choices for wrapping C++:
     1.  Boost.Python - http://www.boost.org/libs/python/doc/
     2.  SWIG - http://www.swig.org/

I'm also aware of:
     3.  SIP - http://www.riverbankcomputing.co.uk/sip/docs/sipref.html

I use Boost.Python and have found it to be excellent.
