Class for Time Series Data

Right, FuManChu.
I am looking for some serious works like the ts class in R.
Data is aligned by calander times, and basic operations on the objects
consider the time stamps.
In addtion, a sort of standard file format for time series data.

Do you know any python program for the purpose?
