I found this:

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/*checkout*/pynms/pyNMS/lib/termtools.py?content-type=text%2Fplain&rev=1.4

But I don't see a function named "sane". Is sf cvs out of date? If so, where should I be looking?
