It's an obscure Linus Torvalds reference, about "Tux" the Linux
mascot. From the Wikipedia:

According to Jeff Ayers, Linus Torvalds had a "fixation for
flightless, fat waterfowl" and Torvalds claims to have contracted
"penguinitis" after being gently nibbled by a penguin: "Penguinitis
