   For a tiny datapoint:  the only Eskimo I ever (knowingly)
met down here described himself to me as an Eskimo.  I
guessed it was the easiest way to make me understand who he
generally was.

   IMHO, the whole PC movement, as an attempt to create a
mass-produced personal sensitivity, is going to be continual
trouble.
