Hello All,
I have already installed python 1.5 which comes with redhat 7.2 I want to install python 2.2.2 which I downloaded from python.org
However when I try to install it on my intel redhat 7.2 pc with # rpm -Uvh python-2.2.2-7.i386.rpm it gives me this error message below:
error: failed dependencies:
rpmlib(PartialHardlinkSets) <= 4.0.4-1 is needed by python-2.2.2-7
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3) is needed by python-2.2.2-7
libdb-4.0.so is needed by python-2.2.2-7
python = 1.5.2 is needed by tkinter-1.5.2-35
python = 1.5.2 is needed by python-devel-1.5.2-35
i understand that some libraries are missing but which ones. Some one know which libraries are missing and where to get them? Thanx.
Hakan
