Wouldn't it be more readable (:)) if you did

class _EvilProperty(type):
    ....
class EvilProperty:
    __metaclass__ = _EvilProperty

class C(object):
    class x(EvilProperty):
        def get(self):
            print 'Getting'
            return 1
        def set(self, value):
           print 'Setting to', value
