Python as a Language Choice

I've only tried Python 2.2.1 and have just yesterday
installed Python 2.3b1, but both seem very stable
on the Win98 system that I use, although the amount
of testing I've done with 2.3b1 is at this point limited ...

The only other major vendor compilers I've used in recent history
are Sun's Java [ 1.2 | 1.3 | 1.4 ] and have experimented a bit
with Blooshed Dev C and Dev C++ ...

Fortunately these all worked OK for me,
so I feel very lucky in view of your experience ...
