Python newbie question

Hello!

I am in process of Python learning. And I am interesting: is there any
way for connect to the database having ODBC driver of this database (I
mean having Windows OS on the client PC)?

Particularly I need of Sybase SQL Anywhere connection. Maybe having
ODBC-driver I need not of any specific technology to make connection?
