Your XML server's usage() method returns a string which wraps badly on my 
linux box; the line-end codes are probably Windows ones, I suppose...

However, the synopsis() method returns a properly formatted string... are you 
mixing OSes or editors, perchance?

I'm using:

Python 2.2.1 (#1, Dec  4 2002, 23:43:31) 
[GCC 3.2 (Mandrake Linux 9.0 3.2-1mdk)] on linux-i386
