float / double support in Python?

You don't think he _really_ killfiles us, though, do you?  People like
him are too interested in the attention they get, and they like having
lots of targets for comments like "Your reaction is knee-jerk and shrill"
or "My Idiot-O-Meter redlined when I read several things in this thread"
which are two of my favourites from his past postings...
