Example of using Windows Indexing Service in Python?

Has anyone tried to use the Indexing Service of Windows 2000/XP
to create a custom search form or a search application in
Python?

Indexing Service supports scripting APIs
(http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/default.asp?url=/library/en-us/indexsrv/html/ixufilsc_6tf7.asp),
so I guess it should be possible to use it programmatically in
Python. But an example would be greatly appreciated.
