I do hope that people who are thinking about voting 'no change'
realize that that means continued use of 'c and x or y' by those who
care to do so, and probably the continued existence of its hundred or
so uses in the standard lib 8-).

The choice is *not* between no conditional operator and some new
thing, its between the current workarounds and one new thing that
replaces them all.
