Why use Python instead of Perl?

I started out learning Perl for more efficient scripting, and wasted the
better part of a year using it.
I was put off by pythons indentation issue, but finally I tried it out,
and wrote better programmes in it in less than a week, than I had ever
written in Perl.
Now I love! Python. I strongly dislike the though of having to write in
less functional languages, or in more verbos ones for that.
Solving problems in Python is like pouring boiling water on ice. They
just dissolve and dissapear.
