Python Audio Setup

I am a newbie attempting to use streaming audio with
python, and have no idea how to set this up.  By
streaming, I mean mic input to headphone output, not
web stuff.  If possible I'd like to use tkSnack since
I am somewhat familiar.  Any help is appreciated.
