PEP 308: Alternative conditional operator forms

I don't see how that's really any different from a vote, you're just
giving it a different name.  If you're suggesting policy be based on the
"pre-screening," then that is for all intents and purposes a vote.

I'm just cataloguing the list of alternatives that were suggested
throughout these threads, and dividing them into categories like
"suggested, but not seconded," "suggested and seconded," and "more
generalized schemes."

This information will be useful whether or not PEP 308 is accepted or
rejected, and even if rejected, whether it's rejected early or late. 
I'm just collecting a list of alternatives, not votes.  Even if
rejected, including the proposed forms in one place (that is, in the PEP
itself) will be instructive for posterity.

Besides, if it's all a waste of time, it's my time to waste, and the
amount of time I'm wasting by maintaining the list pales in comparison
to the amount of time I'm spending actively contributing to these
threads.
