And much appreciated too!  In conjunction with the changeover to using
PyMalloc by default, courtesy of the TimBot, the apparent gain is decidely
noticeable.

Pity that the startup phase took a hit, which impacts some usage (eg CGI
scripting) negatively in spite of the gains once the interpreter is
running :-(
