I'm very much made out of the same cloth, though age has slowly
and gradually moved me a little bit towards mainstream. When I
was 9 -- and every relative and friend kidded me about it for
YEARS -- I decided I wanted to make paper planes. So I did the
obvious thing -- walked into my favourite bookshop and got their
best-appearing two books on paper-plane making. Surely I should
not start cutting and folding paper until I had read a couple
of books about it?! [[my parents HAD opened an account for me
at the bookshop, so I could get any book and they'd pay for them
all at the end of the month -- libraries not being very good in
Italy, at least at the time, that was an excellent though a bit
costly way to encourage my fierce passion for reading...!!!]]
