Ahh... this sounds familiar. Thanks, and sorry for the confusion. =)

Now, just to be thorough, the reason Python doesn't support "full lexical
scoping" is...? I'm guessing that it doesn't apply to classes (thus still
necessitating the use of self.*). Anything else?
