Hi!

Thanks Jp for your answer!

Once upon a time (on Sunday 06 April 2003 20:35), Jp Calderone wisely wrote:

I double checked the umask for root, and it is 0022. Re-installing python
(after removing the previous installation, of course!) again installed the
lib-dynload files with perm 0750. And all other files installed have the
correct permissions.

config is done with :
./configure --prefix=/usr --with-cxx=g++ --with-signal-module \
  --with-threads --enable-unicode

CFLAGS and CXXFLAGS are -march=pentium4 -mcpu=pentium4 -mfpmath=sse -mmmx
-msse -msse2 (but that shall have no impact!), automake is 1.6.3, autoconf
is 2.57.

I checked the generated Makefile and nowhere the 0750 premission are shown.
A plain ./configure has the same problem with my system... :-(

Regards,
Yann.
