How to protect python code ?

I suspect you're seeing the effect of selective response here.  In
other words, there are two kinds of people on c.l.py:
1.  Those who think any kind of code hiding is immoral, unhealthy, and
probably causes cancer; and
2.  Those who have no need to hide code but could care less whether
you do or not.

I suspect the great majority (including myself) are in group 2, but
generally only group 1 cares enough to actually respond.  So it looks
like everybody's in group 1.  Come to think of it, I guess I'm in
group 3) people who belong to group 2, but can't resist adding their
two cent's worth to the discussion anway. :)
