Python Interrupts & Exceptions! Codes

hi,

im new to python.currently im doing few testing of programs to analyze the pattern of system calls of different level of execution like ftp,ssh,telnet.Where can i get simple python codes that uses linux interrupts or exceptions e.g: service request?

i hope i get some resourses and guidelines...
