xmlrpc introspection

i have some python clients that are using xmlrpc to connect to a
server written in non-python code.  i'm interested in implementing the
xmlrpc introspecton methods in 11.20.1 of the python manual on the
server side so python clients can use this feature.  but i can't seem
to find an example of the raw xml request and response or detailed
documentation for these methods.  can someone point me to the docs for
this.
