Jython IDE? Emacs won't work.

What is the editor or IDE of choice for Jython?

I tried Emacs but when I do a C-c C-t to switch from the Python shell to 
the Jython shell, I get a "not found" condition.... and I can't for the 
life of me figure out how to tell Emacs where my Jython is located (I put 
it in /usr/local/jython). 

I'd like to do a somewhat major project in Jython/Java but need a good 
tool... or at least something a bit "better" than emacs if possible 
(although emacs would work for me if I could get it to work!!!)
