anygui Question

I'm new to GUI programming under Python so forgive me if this is a dumb
question, but I cannot seem to find anything on Google or the project
site which answers...

How does one go about changing fonts or getting font metrics from within
an 'anygui' object?  I want to be able to set the default font in a
platform independed way.  Is this possible?
