Why is Python popular, while Lisp and Scheme aren't?

Befunge, email ... it is a _lethal_ failing of *any* data with a text
representation, that needs to be edited.  <0.5 wink>

The purpose of editors is to ease editing. Those who choose poorer
editors will have a harder time than those who choose better
ones. This is as true in Lisp as it is anywhere else.
