Don't feel too bad. For 2.2, it was just unfortunate timing. For 2.3,
I should have noticed the omission earlier, but it is not too late to
integrate it into 2.3.

Also, while we do need documentation, we don't necessarily need it
from *you*; anybody interested in seeing this patch progress
contribute (hi Robin :-).
