Garbage Collection Explanation

Hi,

I remember to have read an article on the web that explained the Python
2.X Garbage collector in detail, especially the Idea with the
generations.

Now I tried to google a bit, and found some shorter explanations and
mails from list archives, but didn't find the article I remembered
again.

Does some have an URL at hands?
