Some time ago I proposed a loop-and-a-half syntax that went
while:
do_A()
gives test_based_on_A():
...
There could be a similar variant for the if-statement:
if:
do_A()
gives test_based_on_A():
take_action_A()
elif:
do_B()
gives test_based_on_B():
take_action_B()
