Obtaining two references to a COM server

Try using:
   ob = pythoncom.CoCreateInstance("prog.id", None,\
                     pythoncom.CLSCTX_SERVER,
                     pythoncom.IID_IDispatch)
   ob = Dispatch(ob)

and it should do what you expect.
