Digest Authentication to Apache

Hello :)

I've been trying to connect to an apache server using digest authentication,
but with little success. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with
this.

I've tried to use the urllib2.py classes, but with no luck. I also tried
using httplib and calculating the headers myself, but that didn't help much
either, I still get 'authentication required'. If anyone has a solution for
this and would like to share it, I'd be really thankful.
