In any case, I am working on getting this up and running again.
This time, however, I would like to use the configure script running
under GNV (an open source project that is the moral equivalent of
cygwin but for VMS).
I have managed to create a working version of the interpreter under
that environment.
What I would like to know is: What is the best way to submit any
patches needed to be incorporated into the next release of Python? I
am currently working from the FTP snapshots (I am using 20020430 at
the moment).
