Accessing Adobe Acrobat Properties from Python

I am creating a script that creates an HTML file based on files placed in a
directory. All the files will be Adobe Acrobat files. I was wondering if
there was a module or something to access the properties of the file such as
Title, Author, and description. Alot of the file is binary text so they are
accessible in that form. I just thought there might be an easier way.
