1) tutor at python.org, a mailing list especially for those new to python or
   coding.

2) www.python.org has many references and docs on line.  A quick web search
  (try www.google.com) will also provide you with many more items to read.

the 24hour book is one of the lesser quality books.  Like a dummys book it is
fine for the first few days or weeks but is useless as a reference or a solid
foundation.
