There is a note on deploying Albatross apps with mod_python at
http://www.object-craft.com.au/projects/albatross/albatross/app-popview5.html

In a private communication, Dave Cole, the principal developer of
Albatross, indicated
that he was able to get some impressive performance out of this type of
mod_python 
arrangement.
