question of iterating over an integer?

For example,

for each of range(6):
for each of mylist:
for each of 6:

I'm not advocating a change here, but just wondering how thinking in
terms of 'in' vs 'of' might influence the debate.  Or am I too far on
the supporting side to appreciate that this has no bearing on it
what-so-ever-thank-you-very-much?  ;-)
