Jython should do, although I have no experience with it. I've run the
standard Python interpreter on a 390 (actually a zSeries), but it was
running Linux under VM.
Isn't OS/390 POSIX-compatible these days? If so, Python shouldn't be
hard to get built on it. I'd be happy to do it for you.
