Interfacing to 1-Wire LAN, especially Dallas temperature sensors?

hi there, 

i am currently concerned with the problem of how to read temperatures from 
th ds182* components. unfortunately, i seem to have an older passive 
adapter that is neither supported by newer versions of digitemp 
(http://www.brianlane.com/digitemp.php) nor by pyOneWire. are there plans 
to extend pyOneWire so passive adapters (DS9097, DS9097E) are supported?
