O'Reilly books are good - "Learning Python" would be the one you want.
Check out also the "Learning to Program" book by Gauld, which uses
Python.  Gauld's stuff is available online, as is "How To Think Like a
Computer Scientist".  This is available for several programming
languages, Python included.
