This least-squares fitting code runs without an error under python 2.1 and 2.2 with Numpy 21.0 and Scientific python 2.2. Although python 1.5.2 is good piece of work, I see no reason for those who do numerical analysis not to proceed to ver 2.2. I also advice you to try scipy --- it is much more professional then ScientificPython. Nadav.
