I'm sure they'd welcome a patch on python-dev ;-)  and I believe it's
Guido's intention that new-styles will eventually include Exception. In
fact, new-style classes will probably be all there is eventually

but-they'll-look-so-like-old-style-ones-we-won't-notice-ly y'rs  - steve
